Vintage at the Home

“Harvesting, singing…Have you ever seen anything as beautiful as this?” These are the opening lines of Gyula Takáts’ verse, with which the students and young people of the Immanuel Home were invited to the vintage celebrations which took place in the courtyard of the home from 9.30 on 14th October 2011.
Dance without boundaries

The International Dance Festival for the disabled took place at the weekend in Budapest. The Reformed Congregation of the Great Church of Debrecen Immanuel Home came first in the competition in two categories: the wheelchair dance category and the pair dance.
Our mission statement

For us the child lies at the centre of all things.
The team of workers at the Home is open to and a partner in the requirements of the children, and works to make other members of society partners in this realm. To this end an attitude of seeking out the requirements, desires, feelings and opinions of our children and young people, pervades our daily routine.

Every day we can find out more new things about the personalities and beings of those who have been entrusted to us, and we endeavour to answer the many questions and requests we are presented with. During our work we recognize the child within us and we notice that the differences between us disappear and we begin to become equal. This feeling makes possible wonderful work based on a healthy partnership.
Napi ige
A változhatatlan ige Isten hűségének a jele, biztos pont a mindig változó világban.
