An Overview of The Home

The Immanuel Home is a day care social institution carrying out public education and health care tasks.
Children take part in special needs education or developmental school education in accordance with their capabilities.

The special needs teachers and teachers endeavour to present the subject matter in a context rich with experience because what a child sees, hears and does remains in the memory longer, and furthermore the smallest independent movement and action by our children can be a source of great joy.
The teachers are helped in their work by special needs educational assistants and social carers.

We often have the experience that “while we are trying to teach our children everything about life, our children teach us what life is about” (Angela Schwindt).
